BERLIN — The Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police, the state’s lodge within the nation’s largest law enforcement organization, have recently announced their endorsement of State Representative Donna Veach (R-30) in her re-election campaign.
“I first want to acknowledge my sincere appreciation to the fraternal order of police for their endorsement and support of me,” said Veach. "I have seen first-hand how lax criminal justice policies instituted in Hartford have negatively impacted communities all across our state. For more than two years we’ve witnessed car thefts, property crimes, and so many others reduce public safety. We need to enact meaningful solutions to keep our communities and residents safe. Our residents and those that are sworn to protect us deserve better.”
“There is no doubt that you will put the best interests of law enforcement and your constituents first,” CT FOP President John Krupinsky said in his endorsement. “Connecticut law enforcement has suffered the last year with the police accountability bill. I believe you are the best candidate to move the safety and security of this state forward.”
The Fraternal Order of Police is the nation's largest law enforcement organization, with over 325,000 members and over 2,100 lodges throughout the United States. Founded in 1915, the F.O.P. represents professional, full-time officers from all agencies of law enforcement. Active membership in the Fraternal Order of Police is open to all full-time law enforcement officers and retired officers, regardless of rank. Municipal, county, state and federal government officers are eligible for membership.
Veach, serves on the legislature’s Education, Judiciary, and Planning & Development Committees. She is also a member of the Conservative, Women’s, Italian-American, Sportsmen’s, and Culture and Tourism caucuses.
