Support an Educational System that Prepares Our Young People for the Workforce
We need revisit the vocational courses taught in our high school and the curriculum at our Vo-Tech schools and or community colleges.
The purpose of these educational institutions should be to prepare our children for the types of jobs that Connecticut employers have available now. Unfortunately, many of our young people leave Connecticut to find employment, leaving businesses to outsource their employment opportunities by seeking people in from other states or even other countries. This is a clear indication that our education system has lost its way and purpose. Lets make this system, which taxpayers pay dearly for, work for our young people.
